My Montage 12/22/09 at OneTrueMedia.com

Last year at Christmas someone directed me to the song "Merry Christmas"  sung by Third Day.  One of the singers had adopted a daughter from China and remembered what is was like having a child so far away during the holidays.  We too were not traveling until January and it broke my heart that Sierra was not going to be with us for Christmas.  I heard the song and bawled!!!!!  What a difference a year makes.  Enjoy!!!

  1. Kathie, That was a beautiful tribute. I want you to know that the grace you displayed during an incredibly long wait has certainly given those of us following in your footsteps a great example to follow.

I can safely say now that our wait for Joel is harder since it is happening at this time of the year. Missing loved ones during the holidays of Thanksgiving and especially Christmas is something no one can understand unless they've been there. My heart is very heavy this year as was yours last year, but you are so right that without God we would be nowhere.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND TO YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY INCLUDING SIERRA WHO IS THANKFULLY HOME THIS YEAR FOR CHRISTMAS!!!

You are right...I needed a box of Kleenex for this one! What an awesome video and loved the song! I am laughing at the hint..
Sierra has come along way! She is so lucky to have joined your wonderful family!

  3. Hi Kathie,

That was beautiful!! It's hard to believe that it has only been a year... As I read your posts and look at the photos, it seems like she's been with you forever! She just looks so happy!

    Have a VERY Merry CHRISTmas!!

    Love from the south,
    Sharla

P.S. Could you send a little of that snow our way?

  4. Kathie,

That was beautiful. I love that song and the words are exactly how we are feeling this Christmas. We long to hold Caleb and have him home with us for Christmas. We are accepting the fact that God's timing is perfect but the wait is still hard.

    Merry Christmas!

    Hugs,
    Robin

  6. What a beautiful video montage. I'm crying like a baby! Last year was definitely a hard Christmas, but this year has more than made up for it.
